Baby Blythe | Greenville South Carolina Newborn Photographer

What a fun session! It’s so much fun to work with people you know and love. This session was my first time meeting Blythe, but I’ve known her parents for quite a while and they are really good friends of ours. I love that she has her dad’s red hair and her mom’s luscious lips.

Also, doesn’t this mom deserve an award for the most gorgeous post-baby mom you’ve ever seen?!?! I couldn’t believe that she had just birthed a child. I’ve never seen someone look so beautiful so quickly after having a baby (and while that baby is still a sleep-stealing newborn!)

I also love posting these images on Thanksgiving eve. I know that this baby girl is the cause for deep and heartfelt thanks from her family and friends.

Chase and Jacinta | Greenville South Carolina Engagement Photographer

This pretty girl has been my sister’s roommate in college for the past couple of years (a TOUGH job–ha) and I had a lot of fun shooting her engagement pictures. She and Chase have been dating for eight years. What?!?! We ran out of time for me to look through their middle school and high school memorabilia but they have LOTS of it. Letters, pictures, etc. What a cool story! The way that Chase treats Jacinta reminds me of how my wonderful husband treats me, and I hope their future holds a happy and blessed marriage.

So let’s get to the pictures! I have to say that the last one is my favorite. It’s really simple and classic, but it’s beautiful and I think Jacinta looks like a supermodel in it. :) Enjoy!

Christmas Cards | Greenville South Carolina Photographer

Hello, folks! I am taking a break from working on some beautiful engagement photos to share a little tip with you. I have a lot of people ask me about ideas or companies to use for Christmas cards. There is a new company on the Christmas card scene that I’m really excited about.

Have any of you ever used Tiny Prints? I first used them for Little E’s birthday cards this year. How cute is this?!?

I was very excited to find out that this company does Christmas cards as well. For some reason, cards are something that I really care about, and I’ve found their cards to be top notch in both color and paper quality. They have lots of fun designers on their team and SO MANY cards to choose from! Luckily, they have good filters to help you narrow down your choices. This is my current favorite:

King of the Forest | Greenville South Carolina Child Photographer

I make huge efforts toward being a skilled photographer. I practice, I learn, I seek critique. . . Despite all of my efforts, I have one subject who presents a constant challenge: my son. First of all, trying to get him to look at the camera is like trying to arm wrestle a snake. Also, he’s a toddler. Enough said.

So here is my best attempt at a picture of Little E in his Halloween costume, which you can tell he loved. Better luck next year, Ashley.
